Catalonia has a wide variety of wines to taste… If you try the wines of the Penedés Cava and Wine Region (only 30’ from Barcelona), among the most prized internationally, you will appreciate the unique taste conferred to it by the diversity of the soils that make up the region, marked by the green of the hills and valleys and the proximity of the Mediterranean Sea. Another renowned wine region is Priorat (near Tarragona) with ist specific soil the “llicorella” slate-like terrain confers to the classic Priorat made from old-vine Garnacha and Cariñena, concentrated aromas of licorice, tar and brandied cherries. Near Gratallops, you can go for a nice walk among the vines with one of our local guides.
